About the Project

“Ho(o)ked on a Reading” is a reading promotion project where young people lead activities for other youth.

Working Hours

The working hours are adapted to fit alongside school and leisure:

• April–May: approximately 3 hours per week
• June: 4 weeks × 30 hours per youth (continuous period)
• July: no working hours
• August–December: approximately 3 hours per week

Workdays

The planned workday is Tuesdays, other days may occur. During June, it applies Monday – Friday.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for youth aged 16–18 who:

• have a natural interest in reading (whether it’s books, audiobooks, or comics)
• are comfortable speaking in front of and leading small groups
• are self-driven, responsible, and take initiative
• are social, communicative, and enjoy collaborating

This recruitment process includes interviews. For your interview, you need to bring your passport/national ID and possibly proof of residency if you have citizenship outside the EU/EEA. This is to ensure your identity and confirm that you have the right to work in Sweden.
