Your new job

Sewing & Service offers work training in a sewing workshop and cleaning services for participants who need a meaningful, creative, and coaching workplace as a path to self-sufficiency. As a team leader, you will be involved in planning, guiding, and following up with participants based on their conditions, goals, and competence needs. Participants follow an individually tailored work training program where we work towards development through clear structure, support measures, adaptations, and follow-ups.

You are responsible for creating a safe working environment where participants thrive and develop. You coach both individuals and groups and contribute to helping participants develop their skills for the next step in life – work or studies. The work also includes planning, purchasing materials, and delivering orders. You collaborate closely with colleagues within AMA (Labor Market Department) as well as job consultants and coordinators.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree or equivalent experience working with people in social exclusion, such as a preschool teacher, social pedagogue, occupational therapist, or social worker. You have an interest in and knowledge of sewing and creative activities, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and the ability to work solution-focused, creatively, and independently. Knowledge of labor market and welfare systems is an advantage in this role. It is also meritorious if you have a B driver's license, experience with MI (Motivational Interviewing) and BIP, as well as experience working with people from other cultures or socially disadvantaged groups. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, collaboration skills, and engagement.

AMA is part of the Education Administration and has about 80 employees. We work with labor market policy measures to prevent and reduce social exclusion. Within AMA, there are several operations that offer support through work training, rehabilitation, education, and investigation.

AMA's mission is governed by political decisions and the area of responsibility can quickly change. Therefore, we work flexibly and based on the demands of the labor market, so if you feel like you have read this ad before, it is true; AMA has received more assignments that require additional staff in our operations.

The position is located in the Introduction Unit (EFI), where you, together with colleagues and managers, work on business development and weekly planning meetings.
