The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercise for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

We are a social service that is at the forefront of prevention work and in the transition to an even more accessible and knowledge-based social service.

The Youth Unit is organized into different teams for reception, investigation, intervention, and placement. We work with investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU, and we follow the structure in BBIC. The target group for our activities is youth aged 13-20 (with the exception of our reception team, which works with children and youth aged 0-20), their families, and networks.

We are now looking for social workers for our placement team!

About the job

The placement team consists of seven social workers, a team leader, a contract secretary, and two crime coordinators. As a social worker in the team, your task is to follow the youth placed in HVB, SiS, in treatment families, or in support housing, according to SoL or LVU. You are expected to build relationships and collaborative alliances with your youth and, where applicable, guardians, advocate for the youth to receive good care, and meet youth and parents as much as possible. We place great importance on regularly meeting our youth, which means we travel a lot for work. We have close cooperation in the team and a high level of commitment to our target group. We have regular supervision and strive to maintain a non-prestigious approach, both within the team and with our youth and parents.

Your profile

We are now looking for an experienced social worker in the field of children and youth, preferably with previous experience working with placed youth. You enjoy closely following youth in the treatment process over time, you never lose hope, and you stand firm when it storms. You have good knowledge of legislation in our area, you can prioritize and make your own assessments but do not hesitate to consult colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and an approach characterized by respect and engagement. You also need to have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. This is a role that gives a lot back but can also be demanding at times; you need to have an inner acceptance that you cannot always do everything and trust that small steps will pay off in the long run. You also need to take care of your own well-being and set boundaries for your engagement to be able to support the youth over time. We place great importance on personal suitability. A driver's license is necessary as travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work
• At least two years of experience in authority exercise with children and youth
• Driver's license
