Youth Open Care is looking for a new colleague.  

In the unit, there are 15 practitioners who are passionate about ensuring that children and young people grow up under good living conditions. The open care is facing an exciting development where interventions are evolving in close collaboration with other key actors such as the region and the police. We are constantly striving to develop and adapt to the needs we encounter among children and young people to provide good care. Children and Youth are based on the principles of the Signs of Safety approach. Your tasks

In the role of family therapist, you work with support interventions and treatment in families with socially complex life situations, where the goal is to help families find the right strategies to create lasting and positive change. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with people in difficult life situations. The work you perform contributes to life-changing transformations in people's lives. 

You are given the opportunity to largely design and plan your workday, but it requires that you are flexible and find workable solutions. The starting point is that the work is carried out in the environments deemed most appropriate, which can be at home, through digital communication, in public spaces, in schools, etc. The assignment entails extensive collaboration with other functions, e.g., investigative social workers, other practitioners in the unit, and external partners. 


Who are you?

At Youth Open Care, you represent the Social Services for Children and Youth towards clients, citizens, and partners. Therefore, you possess a broad knowledge of the social services' authority, interventions, and care and treatment work, and can make independent assessments in cases. 

Requirements:
- Social worker/comparable education and experience in treatment work with youth and families 
- B driver's license   
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form 
- Good computer skills and proficiency in using the Office suite. 

Meritorious:
- Step 1 trained family therapist 
- Trained in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) 
- Experience working in the operational system Combine 
- Experience with Signs of Safety

You primarily work weekdays during the day, but some evening and weekend work may occur. The position is a permanent employment. Most of our employees are based at Holmfastvägen 31 in Södertälje. 

As a new employee, you will receive a structured introduction that gives you an overview of the area of Children and Youth. All groups have a group leader who provides daily support. We believe in close leadership, and our managers encourage learning and development through a high degree of trust and a coaching approach where you are expected to drive cases independently. Well-developed routines and methods that advance the treatment work are also available to support you in your work.
