About Passalen

Passalen is a non-profit organization that works for a more inclusive society that recognizes the potential in all children. We create inclusion for children and youth with disabilities who need support in organizing their leisure time, finding a friend, or trying out summer jobs, and we conduct activities that promote meetings between people.

Program-specific information

Passalen's activities are conducted through various programs and projects; in this role, you will work in Klubbar by Passalen. Klubbar by Passalen is a program that offers children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to participate in open leisure activities, such as activities at youth centers, swimming pools, and sports facilities. We act as a bridge to enable children and youth with disabilities to take part in open leisure time. We engage in dialogue with participants to create conditions for each individual's participation.

Through the program, participants receive support to engage in various activities, such as crafts, gaming, games, and sports. The goal is to help participants meet new friends, develop their social skills, and increase their participation in society.

We also engage in outreach work to reach the target group and inform them of our existence. We do this by contacting participants via phone and visiting schools and other places where the target group is located.

Job Description

Your work as an activity coach primarily involves conducting various clubs in open leisure time together with our participants. A club could be an activity at a youth center such as baking, playing video games, or crafting, a visit to a swimming pool, or trying out a sport. You actively participate in the organized activity and support all participants to engage based on their conditions, abilities, and needs. You are there as a role model and friend for Passalen's participants and are tasked with ensuring that each participant feels seen and welcomed. Collaboration is an important part of the role; you should enjoy working in a team but also be able to work independently. You work to ensure that Passalen's participants are included in the regular leisure activities.

Simpler administrative tasks may also occur in the form of documentation.

This is a temporary part-time position of 10-15 hours/month starting immediately and ending on 2026-06-18.

Your working hours are scheduled during afternoons and evenings, and sometimes weekends. Work is primarily conducted in some of our partner municipalities in Norrort: Sundbyberg, Sollentuna, Järfälla, and Vallentuna.

About You

We believe that you who are applying

· are studying at the high school level or have recently completed high school studies

· are curious about meeting people who are different from yourself and care that everyone feels seen and included in social contexts

· are self-driven and proactive, as it often requires you to make decisions on the spot

· are structured, patient, and able to remain calm in stressful situations

· have good communication skills within your work group as well as with participants, guardians, and others you meet in your role

Meriting for the position (but not a requirement)

· previous experience working with children and youth

· previous experience working with the target group
