Assistance for our son Adam

We are looking for an assistant for our 13-year-old son. The working hours may vary, but right now we are mainly looking for weekdays after school from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM/9:30 PM. However, if any of our other assistants are off or sick, there may also be opportunities to work on weekends.

About our son Adam:

Adam is a cheerful and lively boy who loves to be active. He enjoys going on outings, especially to playgrounds, 4H farms, and training tracks in scenic environments. He also likes to travel by bus and train, swim, listen to music on TV, and play with his iPhone.

Adam has a rare chromosomal anomaly that has resulted in an intellectual disability and an autistic condition. He is physically strong and can move by himself but is at a younger child's cognitive level and therefore needs help with all aspects of his daily life such as hygiene (diaper changes), dressing, meals, mobility, training, and more. Adam lacks verbal speech and is being trained to use PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).

• Are curious to learn about the child's limitations and potential.
• Are reliable, organized, and responsible, with the ability to adapt to different working methods and situations.
• Are empathetic and have good communication skills.
• Are smoke-free.

Working hours:

The working hours are scheduled Monday to Thursday from approximately 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

We prefer that you have previous experience in assistance, are active, and have no issues taking initiative.

A collective agreement is in place, and we offer our employees wellness benefits.

We will require a copy of your passport (SV) or residence card (EU) or residence and work permit/LMA card (outside EU) before employment.

According to the law on background checks, anyone working with minors must present an extract from the police's criminal and suspicion register before employment. You can find the form HERE (H%C3%84R). You will need to order the background check yourself, preferably before the interview.
