Logistics Analyst
This is the role where data becomes action and analysis leads to impact. At Stena, you take your place in a future-oriented industry that drives the transition towards smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable flows. You step into a small, cohesive team with a high degree of effectiveness – close to the operations, close to the decisions, and close to the results. Here, you build structures that hold, find patterns where others see noise, and make a difference every week.
About the Role
As a Logistics Analyst, you work at the intersection of data, logistics, and business. You are responsible for collecting, validating, processing, and analyzing large datasets to optimize our transportation and create cost- and resource-efficient flows. The work ranges from detailed data control to sharp analyses and recommendations that translate into concrete improvements in daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present decision-making materials internally and in meetings with carriers – together with responsible parties in the operations.
- Develop and improve processes for data collection, analysis, reporting, and follow-up.
- Work with comparisons and cost/effectiveness analyses related to transportation and flows.
- Participate in and lead projects within logistics optimization, including the implementation of new systems/tools.
- Be a proactive partner to the operations: identify deviations, find patterns, and propose solutions that enhance quality and delivery precision.
About You
You are a person who combines sharp analytical skills with a natural drive to understand the business in depth. Accuracy and quality are an obvious part of your working method – you double-check, validate, and ensure good analysis quality. You work in a structured manner, plan ahead, and maintain focus on results – even when the pace is high.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (YH/university), preferably in logistics/economics/industrial engineering.
- Documented project experience (participated in and/or led parts of projects).
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and good experience with Office and business/management systems.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We consider it a merit if you have
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in analytical work within logistics and data flows, preferably from areas such as transportation, recycling, or freight forwarding.
- Experience with route optimization systems and/or implementation of new logistics systems.
- The ability to work strategically towards long-term goals.
What do we offer you?
You will have a meaningful analyst role where you see the impact of your work in the numbers, in the flows, and on the way. You will be part of a tight team with broad experience and a culture where we help each other succeed. Here you have a significant influence, the opportunity to drive improvements from idea to result, and a job that combines data, dialogues, and decisions in everyday life. The role also offers good development opportunities, both in the systems and in our international collaborations.
The role means you will be part of a smaller team within the Logistics Department – a central function with about 25 employees located in Jönköping – that supports and develops the entire organization's logistics work.
About the Recruitment Process
We strive to have as fair and objective a recruitment process as possible and therefore do not want a personal letter. Instead, we ask you to answer the initial questions in connection with your application. If you meet the requirements, you will receive a link to a psychological test that is part of a comprehensive assessment. We apply a six-month probationary period and conduct background checks. Here you can read more about our recruitment process.
If you have questions about the role, you are warmly welcome to contact the recruiting manager Jan Andersson at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])
