Specialist in customized bodywork for light trucks

We are now looking for an Application Engineer who wants to be a key person in the development of our customized bodywork solutions for light commercial vehicles. Do you have a technical drive, experience in the automotive or bodywork industry, and thrive in the intersection between design, production, and customer? Then you could be the one we are looking for!

As an Application Engineer, you will work on adapting and further developing existing basic designs for bodywork on light trucks. The role involves taking the customer's needs, converting them into technical solutions, and creating complete production documentation for our internal manufacturing.

Your responsibilities

• Adapt existing bodywork designs based on customer requirements and usage.
• Produce drawings, models, and complete production documentation (including BOM, dimensioning, and technical specifications).
• Ensure technical solutions considering quality, lifespan, and cost.
• Participate in meetings with the sales organization to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Work closely with production to ensure feasibility and execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products, standard solutions, and technical platforms, as well as some new development.

Your profile

We believe you have:

• An engineering degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in design, preferably within the automotive, bodywork, or body construction industry.
• Good knowledge of CAD (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
• Understanding of material and manufacturing processes, particularly in sandwich/composite/aluminum profiles.
• The ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across multiple functions.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience with drawing standards, CE documentation, or vehicle regulations.
• Experience from automotive electrical systems.
• Familiarity with bodywork directives (e.g., from OEMs like Mercedes, VW, Iveco).
