Your Role

As a production developer, you will work with your colleagues to develop well-thought-out industrialization plans and coordinate the work in the projects where products need to be adapted to our production setups. You will closely collaborate with both the design department and the supplier quality function early in the development process, focusing on ensuring good manufacturability in both our internal workshops and with our suppliers.

In your role, you will work with advanced electronic and mechanical products used in both civil and military aviation, which gives the role a combination of technical complexity and practical problem-solving.

The role also includes tasks such as:

• Developing, documenting, implementing, and further developing manufacturing flows.
• Creating methods and approaches for MSA, SPC, etc.
• Supporting the production organization with investments in machines and equipment.
• Driving activities and implementing improvements regarding production methods/processes.
• Working on the implementation of PDCA issues.
• Conducting PFMEA analyses.
• Responsible for cost forecasts related to major investments linked to production.

As a production developer, you will work in cross-functional teams that drive the industrialization of new products. The work is project-based and involves collaboration between several departments to achieve the best possible results. We also work closely with our purchasing department, suppliers, and the development department, as well as other production engineers in the company.

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in a relevant field and preferably a technical education background. Since documentation is available in both Swedish and English, it is important that you feel comfortable expressing yourself in both languages.

If you have experience with LEAN, configuration management, or risk analysis, we see it as a plus, but it is not a requirement. It is also an advantage if you have worked with requirements management related to customer requirements, such as EN9100, APQP, or AQAP.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
