We are a folk high school that offers web design & web development training at a distance and are now looking for another teacher in web design, focusing on UI/UX and accessibility. The position is based at the school, but work can be performed remotely to some extent.

About the assignment

You will teach and guide participants in web design and accessibility within the framework of a distance education program. The assignment involves planning and conducting lessons, mentoring projects, and recording teaching materials. You will work closely with colleagues and contribute to the development of the education in a folk education context.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Documented professional competence in web design/UI/UX
• Good knowledge of design processes, from idea to finished solution
• Very good skills in Figma (prototypes, components, design systems)
• Good knowledge of digital accessibility and understanding of WCAG
• Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written Swedish
• Pedagogical ability and interest in working with adult learning

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in teaching or mentoring in web, UX, or digital design
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
• Understanding of semantic HTML and accessibility in code
• Experience in responsive design, user testing, or accessibility testing
• Experience working in or near development teams
• Video editing or recording skills for distance education
• Experience in folk education and/or work at a folk high school

You are pedagogical, flexible, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to create engagement and motivation among participants with diverse backgrounds and knowledge levels, and you remain curious and updated in your field of expertise.
