Coordinator for New MST Team in Helsingborg
We are now facing an exciting startup of a new MST team in Helsingborg. This is an opportunity for you who want to be involved from the beginning and contribute to shaping work methods, collaboration, and team culture in a new team. You will be part of a context where close cooperation, shared responsibility, and high quality are central. The work takes place close to families with children and adolescents, with ample room for professional judgment and engagement.
About the Workplace
In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.
With us, you will meet experienced and committed teams with broad expertise and a wide range of methods. We tailor our interventions to each family's needs and work together to create sustainable changes.
The MST team will belong to an established unit with broad competence and long experience in family-oriented work. The unit includes family treatment, everyday support for children, youth, and adults, family centers, support groups for children as relatives, and parenting courses. As a new employee, you will be part of a context where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and quality permeate daily work.
The entire social administration is currently undergoing a comprehensive investment in Signs of Safety, and the method will be a common approach throughout the organization. Our work is characterized by collaboration, open dialogue, and a strong focus on trust, participation, and long-term change.
Job Responsibilities
As a coordinator, you will lead the MST team and ensure quality and development in the work. The team works intensively in the families' home environment in collaboration with schools, social services, police, and other actors. MST is an evidence-based method for youth with norm-breaking behaviors and is based on structured, goal-oriented interventions that are continuously followed up.
Your role includes:
- Leading and coordinating the team's daily work
- Distributing cases and planning interventions
- Supervising therapists according to the MST model
- Following up and ensuring quality in the work
- Supporting treatment work and systemic work
- Collaborating internally and externally
- Ensuring method fidelity and professional development
- Following up statistics and goals together with the unit manager
The work primarily takes place during the day but may require availability in the evenings and weekends, including on-call duty. You will receive MST training if you do not have it, and the team has weekly supervision.
For more information about the method, visit www.mstsverige.se (http://www.mstsverige.se).
What We Offer
With us, you will receive a structured and secure introduction with support from the unit manager, team leader, and colleagues. We value a sustainable work life and offer continuous professional development, supervision, and good opportunities for knowledge exchange in daily work.
You will have access to external supervision, IT support, and system administrators, as well as support from lawyers and occupational health services. For full-time employees, a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year is included.
We offer a workplace focused on quality, development, and sustainability.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trained social worker or has another higher education that is deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Has experience in family work, family treatment, or cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Has a B driver's license as travel in the job occurs.
- Expresses themselves well in Swedish in speech and writing.
- Has good knowledge of English as consultation and training partly occur in English.
It is meritorious if you:
- Have psychotherapy level 1 and/or have equivalent further education in systemic family therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Have further education in systemic theoretical methods.
- Understand the social services' mission for children and youth and that we are a politically governed organization.
- Have experience in leadership or coordinating roles.
- Have education in family therapy, systems theory, or CBT.
- Have experience in MST or other manual-based methods.
- Have supervisor training.
We see that you are a secure, flexible, and responsible person with good collaboration skills who easily adapts your work style based on changing conditions and new information.
