We are looking for a social pedagogue for our support accommodation for young people who need assistance on their path to independence.

About the role and responsibilities

As a social pedagogue at the support accommodation, you are a professional adult support in the daily lives of the young people. The work includes, among other things:

• providing daily support, guidance, and care based on the individual needs of the young person
• motivating and supporting young people in studies, employment, and meaningful leisure activities
• strengthening the young people's independence in matters related to housing, studies, finances, relationships, and daily structure
• being a support in contact with family and important networks
• working as a contact person for several young people and being responsible for follow-up, documentation, and coordination regarding these
• documenting and establishing, following up, and working based on implementation plans in collaboration with relevant actors and internal functions
• collaborating with schools and other important functions for the young person

In addition, each employee has specific areas of responsibility based on interest and experience. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and young people.

The operation is staffed around the clock, which means working evenings and weekends.

We are looking for someone who

• has post-secondary education as a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, social worker, or other equivalent education
• has a genuine commitment to social work with young people

It is an advantage if you have:

• training in MI or solution-focused working methods
• experience working with harmful use and addiction
• experience with NPF diagnoses

About us

With us, you will have a varied, independent, and meaningful job with young people aged 16 to 20. You will be offered a structured introduction, good opportunities for professional development, and continuous support from both colleagues and supervisors. Our unit is characterized by a professional and positive work climate where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are at the center.

The youth accommodation provides support accommodation for young girls and boys aged 16–20. The operation includes both corridor accommodation and apartments for young people who have reached a higher degree of maturity and independence, or who for various reasons cannot live together with others.

We work individually tailored and relationally close to provide the young people with the support they need to develop independence, take responsibility, and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency. Our working method is continuously developed based on experience, follow-up, and the needs of the operation, and we are looking for someone who wants to actively contribute to the continued development of the operation.

We are part of the labor market and social administration, where about 600 employees provide support to the residents of Lund who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have the best possible upbringing. We start from the whole family's situation and that no one should suffer. It is about providing support to adults with harmful use and addiction or mental disabilities, to those who need financial assistance, guardianship, or support to study or work, as well as to refugees.
