Summer Interns Wanted for Youth Housing and HVB Teen Home

We are looking for engaged and responsible summer interns who want to help create safety, stability, and development for young people in our operations.

About the Role and Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue at the Youth Housing support facility and/or as a family therapist at the HVB Teen Home, the work involves being a professional adult support in the young people's daily lives and being responsible for their daily care. We also actively encourage young people to create a good social network, motivate them for education, and help them find a meaningful and active, prosocial leisure time.

In both operations, we work based on individual implementation plans that are built on a specific assignment we receive from investigating social workers.

The work in the operations is ongoing at all hours of the day, so work during the day, evening, night, and weekends occurs.

We Are Looking For You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about social work. To succeed in your role, you need to easily build relationships and be able to collaborate broadly. You need to be solution-focused and see opportunities in people's potential for development.

A post-secondary education with a focus on social work, such as social pedagogue, treatment assistant, social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent is meritorious.

If you have experience and knowledge of MI, Solution Focus, knowledge of hidden disabilities, or low-arousal responses, that is also meritorious.

Good experience in handling IT systems and a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing is necessary as the work involves some documentation and administration.

About Us

In the area of Adult Services within the Labor Market and Social Administration, there are the Youth Housing and HVB Teen Home, which are now looking for new interns, both for temporary positions and hourly employment.

The Youth Housing is a support facility for young people between 16 and 21 years old. The support facility is a corridor housing where staff is available around the clock, and the young people share kitchens and common rooms with other young people, similar to student housing. There is also the possibility to live independently in an apartment where the youth receives help from a contact person with us.

The HVB Teen Home is a treatment home for young people between 14 and 20 years old that offers a clear daily structure, a safe living environment, and treatment staff around the clock. There are six places plus one emergency place. The Teen Home helps the youth strengthen what already works and helps minimize risks in their own behavior or in the youth's surroundings.

We need to strengthen our team with summer interns during the summer months but also with several hourly workers who can work as needed.

We are part of the Labor Market and Social Administration, where about 600 employees provide support to the residents of Lund who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have the best possible upbringing. We focus on the entire family's situation and that no one should suffer. It is about providing support to adults with harmful use and dependence or mental disabilities, to those who need financial assistance, guardianship, or support to study or work, as well as to refugees.
