New MST Team in Helsingborg
We are now facing an exciting startup of a new MST team in Helsingborg. This is an opportunity for you who want to be involved from the beginning and contribute to shaping work methods, collaboration, and team culture in a new team. You will be part of a context where close cooperation, shared responsibility, and high quality are central. The work takes place close to families with children and youth, with great room for professional judgment and engagement. We are now looking for three new colleagues who want to help build a stable and long-term team focused on real change.
Welcome to a workplace where engagement, collaboration, and development are at the center!
About the Workplace
In the city, the social administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.
With us, you will meet experienced and committed teams with broad expertise and a wide range of methods. We tailor our interventions to each family's needs and work together to create sustainable changes.
The MST team will belong to an established unit with broad expertise and long experience in family-oriented work. The unit includes family treatment, everyday support for children, youth, and adults, family centers, support groups for children as relatives, and parent courses. As a new employee, you will be part of a context where collaboration, knowledge exchange, and quality permeate daily work.
We are now looking for a coordinator and three therapists who want to help build a stable and long-term team focused on real change.
Job Responsibilities
As a family therapist in the MST team, you work on behalf of the authority to strengthen parental capacity and create sustainable conditions for children and youth to stay at home. The social administration is currently investing in Signs of Safety as a common approach, which characterizes our work with collaboration, open dialogue, and long-term change.
You are part of a team with three therapists and a coordinator and primarily work in families' homes. In the role of MST therapist, you support youth and their families in changing norm-breaking behaviors through multisystemic therapy. You strengthen family relationships, support the youth, and guide parents while collaborating closely with schools, leisure activities, and other important actors. The work is intensive with 3–5 families at the same time.
The MST model requires high availability and flexibility. You will also undergo MST training if you do not already have that competence. The team has supervision every week, and you will receive support from experienced colleagues and supervisors to develop within the method.
For more information about the method, visit www.mstsverige.se (http://www.mstsverige.se).
The MST intervention includes that you will have on-call duty at certain intervals as families have access to support even in the evenings and weekends.
What We Offer
With us, you will receive a structured and secure introduction with support from the unit manager, team leader, and colleagues. We value a sustainable work life and offer continuous professional development, supervision, and good opportunities for knowledge exchange in everyday life.
You will have access to external supervision, IT support, and system administrators, as well as support from lawyers and occupational health care. For full-time employees, a wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year is included.
We offer a workplace focused on quality, development, and sustainability.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Are a trained social worker or have another university degree that is deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Have experience in family work, family treatment, or cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Have a B driver's license as travel in the service occurs.
- Express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing.
- Have good knowledge of English as consultation and training partly take place in English.
It is meritorious if you:
- Have psychotherapy step 1 and/or have equivalent further training in systemic family therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
- Have further training in systemic theoretical methods.
- Understand the social services' mission for children and youth and that we are a politically governed organization.
We see that you are a secure, flexible, and responsible person with good collaboration skills who easily adapts your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to the target group and enjoys working both independently and in a team.
In the recruitment process, we will place great importance on personal suitability. Before employment, you will need to present a criminal record extract.
