Job Advertisement: Social Welfare Officer at the Care and Welfare Office

The Care and Welfare Office consists of about 100 employees and is responsible for elderly care and care for people with disabilities. The office is partly a commissioning organization, and we also run day activities and senior meetings on our own. The operations are organized into two authority departments and one support department.

We have a good and well-functioning collaboration with politics, associations, pensioner organizations, civil servants, and our service providers.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who is driven, engaged, and has a genuine interest in issues related to elderly care. You want to be a part of our authority department and contribute to ensuring that our authority processes are legally secure, clear, and professional – with the right decisions made at the right time for the right person.

• As a social welfare officer, you will among other things:
• investigate, assess, and make decisions about services according to the Social Services Act
• handle applications for national transport services
• follow up on granted services together with both the individual and the provider
• participate in discharge planning from inpatient care

The work involves close contact with residents, relatives, providers, and other professionals, both internally and externally. Therefore, it is important that you are clear in your communication and comfortable expressing yourself in both speech and writing.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another equivalent higher education. You have experience in authority practice within elderly care, or you are at the end of your studies with a strong interest in the field.

You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing and have knowledge of the target group.

It is an advantage if you:

• have experience with Pulsen Combine
• have worked according to IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus)

The work involves contact with many different actors and requires good collaboration skills, independence, and confident oral communication. You need to be able to analyze, solve problems, and work service-oriented to meet the residents' needs in the best way.

Start date is according to agreement. Hourly employment for summer vacancies may be relevant. Interviews will begin in week 9.
