Welcome to us

Are you driven to create a positive and lasting change in the lives of young people? HVB Pilen for investigations and emergency placements is growing, and we are looking for two social workers.

Do you want to be part of the development of our investigation placements? Then you are the one we are looking for!

In 2026, HVB Pilen for investigations and emergency placements will expand its operations and offer six places, of which two will be investigation placements. The operation is aimed at young people who need a quick placement around the clock, or where the need for care and support is to be investigated so that the placing social service can make well-founded decisions about further measures.

Our young people are between 13 and 19 years old, and most stay with us for a period of one night up to two months. The workgroup will consist of social workers, social pedagogues working day/evening/weekend, social pedagogues working awake night, administrative assistants, group leaders, and unit managers. This also includes the neighboring operation HVB Linden, which offers eight places for girls aged 14-17 who are placed according to SoL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Law with special provisions on care of young people). The workgroup at HVB Pilen for investigations and emergency placements may also staff HVB Linden as needed. The operations are located in Svedmyra.

We offer

The operation is under construction where you will have the opportunity to contribute and be involved in the development together with engaged and motivated colleagues.

As an employee within the Social Administration, you will receive a permanent position from the start and be offered an informative introduction to give you the best conditions in your new role. Read more about our benefits here.

Your role

As a social worker, you have a central and significant role in creating a safe, structured, and predictable everyday life for the young people at HVB Pilen for investigations and emergency placements. During the year, the operation will start two investigation placements where we see that you, together with your colleagues, will have an active role in building the investigation operations. Since the operation is new, you will also be involved in shaping and developing the assignment where methods, routines, and responsibilities are developed together. The content of the position may therefore be adjusted over time based on the needs and development of the operation.

Your tasks include:

  • conducting investigative and treatment conversations as part of the investigation basis at the request of the placing social service.
  • working motivationally based on each young person's individual needs.
  • being the treatment coordinator/contact person for one or more young people, responsible for documentation, implementation plans, and follow-up.
  • coordinating and following up measures in collaboration with guardians, social services, schools, BUP, and other relevant actors.
  • providing support to young people in schoolwork, daily routines, leisure activities, and relationship building.
  • actively participating in daily life through activities such as cooking, training, homework help, and other leisure activities.
  • being responsible for and working based on the care plan established by the placing social service.

The position involves working according to a rolling schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree in social work
  • current experience of authority work with children and young people.
  • experience of documentation work
  • good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have experience working in HVB homes or in other equivalent operations. Knowledge of BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus), low-affect responses, and trauma-informed care is considered a significant advantage. Previous experience in treatment work, family treatment, or addiction care is also meritorious, as is education in neuropsychiatry. We also value experience in conducting child and family conversations and collaboration with BUP.

To succeed in your assignment with us, it is crucial that you have excellent collaboration skills. It comes naturally to you to build trust and good relationships with people. Since the work also involves meeting young people who are in difficult life situations, it is important that you are flexible and can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet young people in a respectful manner. You are stable and professional in your approach and attitude. The role also requires that you are persistent, have patience in your work, and focus on your assignment and work with the young people.

We place great importance on personal qualities, motivation, and commitment to the position.

Welcome with your application!
