The Unit for Production and Capacity Support (EPS) is a strategic function that works to ensure that healthcare resources are used optimally and that patient flows are managed in an efficient and patient-safe manner. Together with operations, management, and our healthcare professionals, we develop tools, methods, and working practices that contribute to a sustainable healthcare structure for the entire region. We are now strengthening the team with a Care Place Coordinator!
As a Care Place Coordinator, you have a central and important role in the management of the region's care place capacity. You are responsible for creating an overview, structure, and stability in the care place flow and ensuring that each patient receives the right level of care at the right care unit. The role involves close collaboration with county operations managers, unit managers, the emergency department, and various departments of inpatient care. You act as the hub between the operations and have a direct impact on patient flows, occupancy, and care safety.
The position is a full-time temporary contract with start date as agreed until 2026-08-31.
Care Place Coordinator for Production and Capacity Support, Sundsvall
Job ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Care Place Coordinator, your tasks include:
- Maintaining an ongoing overview of the current care place situation and coordinating available resources.
- Distributing patient admissions according to the principle of the right patient to the right place, in close dialogue with relevant units.
- Participating in and supporting planning during patient transfers, for example between surgery, medicine, and intensive care.
- Contributing to preparing space for patients from other regions as well as from SOS International.
- Being an active contact and collaboration partner with other hospitals within the region.
- Working with goal and statistical follow-up related to capacity management and care place utilization.
- Contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and capacity management models.
We are looking for someone who
- Is a licensed nurse or trained nursing assistant
- Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Has good IT skills
It is an advantage if you
- Have work experience from inpatient care
- Have work experience in emergency care
- Have previous work experience in care place coordination or capacity management.
- Have knowledge of Region Västernorrland's healthcare structures
