Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team! Are you the one we are looking for?

With us, children and young people with neuropsychiatric functional variations and challenging issues spend time.

The children have extensive needs for pedagogical support and personal care. They stay here for periods, usually after school or leisure activities, or during a weekend. The extent is determined by decisions made within the authority. The operation is intended to provide relief to our guests' relatives, but also aims to give the guests a stimulating and restful stay.

As a support assistant, you will be part of a team with other support assistants and support educators who, together with the unit manager, are responsible for the development of the operation. With us, you will have the opportunity for continuous further education to develop in your role.

The job responsibilities include both pedagogical and practical support by assisting guests with personal hygiene, meals, and leisure activities. Tasks such as handling medication based on self-care are also included. Interventions for guests are provided based on an implementation plan in the IT tool Treserva, where tasks such as documentation and follow-up are also included. The job responsibilities also include other household chores such as cleaning and laundry.

You will work on a schedule mainly during evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest and commitment to the target group!

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

Experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric functional variations (NPF) is a requirement. Since we work with individuals with challenging behavior and self-harm issues, it is required that you have previously worked with methods such as low-arousal approaches and alternative augmentative communication.

We see that you take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks. You think about those we are here for and their best interests. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on how it turned out.

You are also friendly and helpful to others even in a stressful situation. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure that the student/client/user receives what they need.

Finally, we see that you can convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets across. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

Do you feel that you are the person we are looking for? Warm welcome with your application!
