I am a 16-year-old boy living with my family in Växjö. I have Angelman syndrome and need help and support in my daily life in the form of active supervision, social support, personal care, communication, play, and activities. You will mostly work at home with me and my family, but your workplace is wherever I am.

You who are applying for the position need to have a large amount of energy, be attentive, and have great patience. It is important that you, as an assistant, can meet me in the right way, work solution-oriented, preventively, and can take initiative and motivate me to be active. The work largely involves working proactively and with a low-arousal approach, where you, as an assistant, can convey stability and security through physical and emotional closeness.

It is an advantage if you have experience with communication through visual support and signs, as well as previous experience as a personal assistant. However, the most important thing for us is your willingness to make a difference for another person and provide high-quality assistance.

I would like you to be able to start immediately.

Scope: Extra as needed with the possibility of an extended position in the future. Working hours are weekdays from 4:30 PM (if you can only start later in the evening, that’s not a problem) to 8:00 AM with 5 hours of on-call duty at night, as well as sometimes during the day on weekends. In the summer, there are also plenty of daytime shifts available.
