Personal Assistant Needed for Young Woman in Lenhovda

Our client is a 16-year-old girl living with her parents in Lenhovda. She has a rare diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis with difficult-to-treat epilepsy, which means she needs an assistant by her side at all hours of the day. As a personal assistant here with our client, you will have an incredibly varied job.

She enjoys shopping, swimming, having coffee, and also taking it easy. We prefer female applicants as she feels most comfortable with that and also needs practical help with certain intimate tasks. Assistants also support her communication and help maintain focus as she easily loses track.

Like many other young adults, her daily life includes a mix of everyday necessities and things that add joy to life. With you as an assistant, there are surely new adventures to discover together! The client will start an adapted high school in Växjö this fall, and there are also future plans to hopefully move to Växjö in the future.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

For this position, we are looking for women. We prefer that you have relevant experience/education, but most importantly, we are looking for the right person. It must fit with the client and the rest of the family. You cannot be allergic as there is a small dog in the family.

You need to have a driver's license and access to your own car since public transport is not the best. You will receive the necessary introduction on-site, and we would like all our assistants to attend our training sessions. It is of great importance for our client and for us at FMF Assistans that the assistants working with us are secure, caring, and positive. Desirable Experiences

• Swedish spoken and written.
• Required: B driver's license and access to a car.
• Knowledge of and experience with challenging behavior and low-arousal responses.

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• Part-time approx. 50% varying shifts – mostly afternoons/evenings, but also daytime on holidays and weekends.
• The position also involves work every other weekend.
• There is also a need for assistants who can take extra shifts as needed, e.g., during the regular assistant's sick leave/vacation.
