Do you want to work closely with people and contribute to real change in everyday life? We are now looking for employees for our team within the residential support of social psychiatry. The position belongs to the Adult and LSS unit within Social Services and LSS.

The Department of Social Services and LSS (IFO) is part of the Welfare and Care Administration in Uppvidinge Municipality and consists of four units, each with its own unit manager. There are also two senior social workers who provide case-related support and guidance. We work both with authority exercise according to social laws (SoL, LSS, LVU, and LVM) and with the implementation of measures according to the Social Services Act and LSS.

The development related to the new Social Services Act, where preventive measures, flexibility, and collaboration are central, and we particularly focus on developing support for parents with mental health issues and NPF through family-oriented residential support. Employment for people with psychiatric diagnoses to create meaningful activities and meeting places for community and well-being is also a focus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee within residential support, you work closely with individuals with mental health issues and/or NPF problems. You provide individually tailored support in everyday life with a focus on strengthening independence, structure, and participation in society. The support may involve planning and creating daily structure, motivating social contacts and activities, collaborating with other actors regarding the individual's needs, and providing family-oriented support when relevant.

You work both independently and in a team in close collaboration with colleagues from other parts of IFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have an education in social work, such as a social worker, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

Experience in social work is a requirement, especially in change work or work with the target group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and interest in the target group within mental health issues and NPF problems.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

You prefer to see opportunities rather than difficulties and enjoy the challenge of finding constructive solutions to complex problems. You are unpretentious and secure in yourself while being humble and receptive to others' opinions. The assignment requires flexibility, a solution-focused approach, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to find sustainable solutions based on individual needs. We expect you to have a good ability to prioritize and ensure that what needs to be done gets done. A good attitude in both client contacts and collaboration is a given for you.

OTHER

If you are selected for employment, the employer will request a criminal record extract. The municipal council has decided that all new hires must present a criminal record extract before employment. The extract to be presented is the one for work within schools or preschools.
