The Department of Individual and Family Care is part of the Administration for Work and Learning and consists of four units: IFO Team 1, IFO Team 2, Housing Support Team, and Support and Treatment Unit. The department is responsible for processing and implementing services in the areas of children (SoL and LVU) and adult substance abuse (SoL and LVM), social psychiatry (SoL), financial assistance, and domestic violence (SoL).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now seeking two or more experienced social workers for our teams. In our teamwork, we collaborate to provide support to individuals based on their needs. Your main role will be to either work in a common reception, work with placed children and youth, or work with financial assistance. Please indicate in your application which focus area you wish to work in. You will work cross-professionally with other social workers in your team.

Your tasks will include:

• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Investigative work according to SoL and LVU/LVM
• Follow-up on granted services
• Prepare and present cases for the individual committee for decisions
• Represent the board in court

As a social worker in the common reception, you are the first contact with the social services in the municipality. This means you handle all incoming cases that come to the attention of social services in various ways. You manage cases according to the legal provisions SoL, LVU, LVM, and domestic violence. You meet, assess needs for services, and create a pathway into the administration for residents to receive comprehensive support based on their needs. The work focuses heavily on discovering and assessing needs among residents based on their entire life situation. We work to ensure that everyone receives guidance, advice, and support based on their needs, regardless of how or why contact has been established with social services.

As a social worker focusing on placed children and youth, you will assess, motivate, and guide children and youth placed in foster homes, HVB homes, or SIS, as well as investigate support needs based on applicable legislation (SoL and LVU). The work is conducted together with the children/youth and their parents, their networks, and in collaboration with other professionals who work with this target group. The work is extremely varied, where one day may consist of planned visits and documentation, but also unplanned events that require urgent assessments.

As a social worker focusing on financial assistance, you will work with investigations and processing of social assistance. The work emphasizes finding solutions for self-sufficiency. We also work with guidance and collaboration to help individuals become self-sufficient and those who need support to achieve a reasonable standard of living. The work involves close cooperation with other authorities and organizations. You will conduct investigative work according to SoL and also follow up on granted services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Work or another higher education including social law deemed suitable by the employer. For work with financial assistance, knowledge of social law is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in public authority work, preferably within municipal settings.
• Driver's license for manual transmission.
• Good ability to express yourself correctly in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of current legislation and documentation requirements.
• Good ability to, with empathy, engagement, and respect, professionally meet people in difficult life situations.
• Flexibility and teamwork skills are important. You see collaboration as a natural part of your work.
• Previous experience in similar work is advantageous. Experience with Lifecare, outreach work, domestic violence, or harmful use and dependence is also advantageous.
• Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We expect you to be a secure person with good personal maturity and to contribute to a positive work environment. The pace can sometimes be high, requiring you to prioritize your tasks.
