On January 1, 2026, Hermods launched a new operation in basic and upper secondary adult education and is now seeking substitutes and summer teachers who are teacher students or certified teachers who want to contribute to flexible and quality learning. The most relevant subjects are Swedish as a second language, Swedish, English, mathematics, and social studies on-site. Other subjects may also be relevant.

About the position

As a substitute teacher with us, you will teach adult students at basic and upper secondary levels when the regular teacher is absent. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting lessons using course materials available on our platform Omniway, tailored to students' needs and progression.
• Creating a structured and inclusive learning environment where adult students have the right conditions to achieve their goals.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues and Jönköping's adult education to ensure quality and progression in education.
• Acting as an exam invigilator.
• Grading assignments during longer substitute periods.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is enrolled in a teacher education program or has a teaching license.
• Experience in adult education is an advantage.
• Good digital skills and familiarity with learning platforms.
• The ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and study paces.

Your profile

You are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach in adult education or a teacher student. Experience in teaching adults is advantageous but not a requirement. We value your pedagogical skills. You need to be independent in your work and able to take your own initiatives. You enjoy a varied job and solving quickly arising situations with the students' best interests in focus. You are social, communicative, and have excellent proficiency in digital tools. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Employment

The position is a part-time employment. Working hours may be scheduled during the day and one evening a week. Start date according to agreement.

We apply the collective agreement between Almega Educational Companies and the trade unions Unionen/SI.
