The Crisis and Trauma Reception (KoT) is a specialist clinic within adult psychiatry.

Our patient group mainly consists of adults with complex PTSD trauma, related to war, persecution, torture, discrimination, and other severe life events experienced in their home country, as well as traumatic experiences related to migration to Sweden.

The clinical issues are usually characterized by complex PTSD, attachment trauma, difficulties in emotional regulation, and existential crises. Some patients are in the asylum process or live with prolonged uncertainty, which affects the ability to create safety, context, and belonging. The work requires a stabilizing and phase-oriented treatment perspective.

The clinic conducts trauma treatment in line with current research and international knowledge development in the trauma field. KoT also collaborates with national crisis and trauma networks.

Job Description

The position is a shared assignment between the Crisis and Trauma Reception and the Psychiatric Reception Spiran. At the Crisis and Trauma Reception, you will work in a small, specialized, and dedicated team where collaboration is characterized by closeness, collegial support, and joint reflection.

The role includes psychological assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients with complex trauma issues, as well as consultative and knowledge-sharing efforts towards other operations and partners.

The assignment at the Psychiatric Reception Spiran involves work within general psychiatry. Here, assessment, investigation, and treatment are offered to patients over 18 years old with moderate to severe mental health issues. The shared assignment provides varied and broad clinical work where specialized trauma competence interacts with the general psychiatric operation.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. We seek someone with experience based on relational psychodynamic principles, with a focus on trauma-focused methods.

You are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. As you will meet people with various severe issues, you need to have good access to your own competence and be able to offer an empathetic approach, as well as having a good ability to seek support and help in the process. You adapt easily to new circumstances and are flexible.
