School Nurse for Norrköping Municipality

Who are we?
The mission of the Central Child and Student Health is to strengthen the health of children and young people to support their development towards educational goals through preventive and promotional efforts. We are an integrated and important part of Norrköping's preschool and school system.
We work preventively and promote the well-being of all children and students in need of special support. The Central Child and Student Health contributes to accessible learning environments, operational development for increased goal fulfillment and attendance, as well as medical interventions from preschool to high school.
We consist of 100 employees with competencies in medical, psychological, social, and special education fields. Our team includes special educators, psychologists, school nurses, and school doctors who support all units from preschool to high school. Each profession has a specific responsibility to contribute with its unique expertise.
The Central Child and Student Health operates at the organizational, group, and individual levels. We collaborate locally and regionally with professionals in student health, schools, and externally with other actors in the municipality and Region Östergötland.
Your responsibilities
As a school nurse with us, you will work according to the Health and Medical Services Act and the Education Act, which means you will closely collaborate with school staff and other professionals in student health, including principals, counselors, special teachers, special educators, and career counselors. The work also involves collaboration with students, parents, and organizations and authorities outside the school.
You will conduct health assessments, health conversations, vaccinations, minor medical interventions, and consultations, and you will be part of the school's student health team. You will contribute medical expertise to the school's promotional and preventive work at the group and organizational levels.
Who are you?
We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse, and experience working with children and young people. If you have expertise in public health, that is an advantage. We also appreciate experience as a nurse in various healthcare environments.
You are self-driven and can take your own initiatives. You are also service-oriented and have good collaboration skills. You have the ability to delegate tasks based on colleagues' knowledge and experience, thus creating effective and secure teamwork.
You value cultural differences and respect various backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You strive for high quality in your own work and contribute to the development of working methods to ensure good results for the students.
A driving license (B) is required, and access to a personal vehicle is desirable.
