Smartoptics is now seeking a Buyer for our purchasing team located in Kista, Stockholm. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods, materials, and services to ensure that Smartoptics' operational needs are met. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and a global supplier base, balancing price, quality, and delivery precision to ensure a stable and continuous supply.

Your main objective is to be responsible for the procurement of goods, materials, and services required for Smartoptics' operations, focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, and delivery reliability.

Purchasing

• Create and send purchase orders (PO) to Smartoptics suppliers

• Receive order confirmations and update delivery dates in the ERP system

• Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, availability, and deliveries

• Support the purchasing function and communicate any delivery risks

• Ensure a professional and consistent collaboration with suppliers

• Compile and analyze data regarding supplier performance

Inventory Management

• Maintain and define safety stock in the ERP system

• Perform inventory adjustments and contribute to accurate inventory status

ERP System and Data Management

• Maintain commercial information about products and suppliers in the ERP system

• Generate reports and updates as needed

Support and RMA Management

• Be responsible for the RMA process and return handling with suppliers

• Coordinate internally and externally to ensure quick and effective solutions

• Experience in purchasing, preferably within production or supply chain

• Education in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain is advantageous

• Good commercial and economic understanding

• Experience working in ERP systems

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Strong communication skills and good negotiation experience

• Practical approach and willingness to develop

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
