More than half of the educational time is spent in workplace-based learning (APL), providing our students with practical experience, security in their professional roles, and an advantage in the job market. With the support of dedicated mentors, vocational teachers, and educators, we create a meaningful and safe learning environment where students develop both professionally and personally. Yrkesgymnasiet Ale is primarily looking for a certified vocational teacher with experience in land and construction, but those with at least five years of work experience in the construction and civil engineering industry are also welcome to apply. Here, students learn a trade from the ground up in real workplaces with experienced mentors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the future construction and civil engineering workers. More than half of the students' education takes place in a workplace, giving them a solid foundation and an advantage in the job market. Our students are prepared in the best possible way for their future professional lives with the support of their mentors and engaged educators.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher in construction and civil engineering or has at least five years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry and a strong drive to teach and mentor students.

• Is an excellent communicator and team player who can act as a bridge between school, students, and the business community.

• Has a B driver's license and preferably access to a personal vehicle.

• Has the ability to work independently while being team-oriented and collaborates with colleagues to best prepare students for their future professional lives.

Qualifications

A teaching degree or solid experience in the construction and civil engineering industry with a desire to inspire and develop the next generation of construction and civil engineering workers. Teacher certification and pedagogical experience are desirable but not required.
