We are now looking for a chef with a great interest in cooking to our three camp farms in Värmland who wants to develop further with us. It is advantageous if you have training in cooking, but it is not a requirement as we primarily value your interest in cooking, relevant work experience, and that you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment in close collaboration with your colleagues. We believe that you are a natural leader in the kitchen and dining room, used to taking initiative and working in a structured manner, and that you thrive in an environment where children and young people make up the majority of our guests.

Working at camp means that during the summer you will live at your workplace, at the camp farm in Värmland. You share accommodation with your colleagues while you work, about 5-6 people per room. The job requires that you are willing to be away from home for at least 6 weeks during the summer.

About the company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB runs camp activities at several camp farms for children and young people aged 9-16 years with a focus on adventure, and our operations are focused on outdoor pedagogical activities. Job responsibilities

As a chef at camp, your main task is to deliver meals to camp participants and camp leaders, which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including vegetarian and special diets. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in large kitchens and are accustomed to planning meals, but we primarily value an interest in cooking and the willingness to develop the operations together with your colleagues.

The kitchen at camp is the heart of our operations, and as an employee in the kitchen, your tasks will vary between cooking, serving, and dishwashing. Together with a team of 6-7 people, you will be responsible for delivering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our communal dining room to camp participants and camp leaders at our three camp farms. Additionally, you will also receive deliveries, ensure that the camp farms have snacks and evening meals, and prepare food for hikes/outings.

The work is carried out under the guidance of a kitchen manager. You should also comply with quality and hygiene requirements and be able to meet camp participants in a pedagogical and inspiring manner, as we want the participants to discover the different aspects of cooking and possibly awaken an understanding and future interest.

Experience

· Experience in large kitchens or equivalent

· Relevant education in cooking

Employment conditions

The position is a full-time job. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the camp farm in Värmland from May 9-12 and June 8-12. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 13 to August 18.
