About the Position

As a care assistant with us at Axberg/Vivalla home care, you have a coordinated responsibility for support, service, and care interventions for our clients. In your daily work, you plan, implement, and follow up on these interventions. You work in a team with colleagues of different competencies, always focusing on the individual needs and interests of the clients. We work with a rehabilitative approach and person-centered care.

Examples of Job Duties:

  • perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
  • perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • plan and develop work independently and together with the workgroup
  • establish and follow up on goal plans, routine descriptions, and action plans together with the client
  • collaborate with relatives and others in the client's network, such as nurses and occupational therapists
  • document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
  • establish and follow up on implementation plans
  • have knowledge of and follow the organization's applicable laws, policies, and routines

About the Workplace

Axberg/Vivalla home care operates from premises in Trädgårdarna located on the outskirts of Vivalla, and from premises in Kornellen located in Bettorp. We walk, bike, or drive to our clients in our operations. We work within the districts of Lillån, Bettorp, Hovsta, Vivalla, Lundby, and Glanshammar. Many of our clients also live in the countryside.

The area of care and support is part of the Social Administration. The operations include care and support, preventive activities, authority exercise within the area, as well as housing placement and housing adaptation. Within the area of Care and Support, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives.

Qualifications

As a care assistant with us, you are a reliable and stable person. You have the ability to meet clients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. Taking responsibility for your tasks is a given for you. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner. Furthermore, you have a positive view of people with great respect for each individual's needs. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with clients and other staff, as well as document what the organization requires in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation in the operational system, good computer skills are required.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • proof of protected professional title, or fall under the transitional regulations (permanently employed care assistant as of July 1, 2023)
  • driver's license B, manual transmission
  • ability to bike

Meritorious:

  • experience working in care and support
  • experience working in documentation and operational systems

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: permanent employment

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: March 1 or by agreement

Number of positions: 2-3

Working hours: scheduled day, evening, and every other weekend

Other Information

As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to be employed as a care assistant. While waiting for your proof, it is possible to be employed as a care aide. However, if you had a permanent position as a care assistant on July 1, 2023, you may continue to use the title.
