The obstetrics and gynecology department operates at Örebro University Hospital, Lindesberg and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's health.

At Örebro University Hospital, there is an obstetric section with specialist maternal care and fetal diagnostics, a delivery ward, and postnatal care. The gynecological section provides outpatient, inpatient, and emergency gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating department.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the three acute hospitals in the county where we provide advanced medical care, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in accessibility, economy, and in avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. USÖ also tops the results in areas such as cardiology, renal failure, and vascular surgery. USÖ has about 3,500 employees. Midwife for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, USÖ Responsibilities

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at USÖ offers both emergency and planned outpatient care. Here we investigate and treat patients with gynecological diseases while providing care and support to women with pregnancy-related issues up to and including pregnancy week 22+0. As a midwife with us, you will have a varied and responsible job, where you will among other things:

• Provide telephone advice and manage cases via 1177.
• Work independently in your own clinic, where you will provide contraceptive counseling and perform prolapse checks. Our midwives have specialized competencies in various areas, such as pelvic floor care, sexology, and endometriosis.
• Take care of women seeking emergency care at our gynecological emergency clinic.

We have a strong and supportive workgroup where collegial support is an obvious part of our work environment. In addition, we work closely with other professions, which contributes to good cooperation and a holistic view of the patients' needs. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday, but some evening shifts may occur.
