We are now looking for a nurse for the night shift at our BUP department 5 in Örebro.
As nurses in department 5 will be on leave for studies and parental leave, we need reinforcement at night for at least a year ahead. Therefore, we can now offer a permanent position within the Health and Medical Care Administration, starting with a placement in our department. This type of employment means that you will receive a permanent position within the Health and Medical Care Administration but will be placed at the current workplace as long as there is a vacant substitute position there. You will receive an employment contract with a placement confirmation issued. If the need for a substitute no longer exists, you will be offered placement in another unit.
The team working in department 5 is characterized by great commitment, a lot of knowledge, and experience. Department 5 is a child and adolescent psychiatric care unit with 6 places and the entire Örebro County as its catchment area. We receive children and adolescents with serious psychiatric conditions for acute admissions. With us, patients are cared for together with their guardians, and the goal of the inpatient period is primarily to stabilize the acutely poor condition so that they can then go home and continue their care in outpatient care. In department 5, we work in a close-knit multidisciplinary team that, in addition to nurses, consists of social workers, caregivers, doctors, teachers, and unit managers. We actively work on development projects to safely and professionally undertake our mission.

Job ResponsibilitiesThe job responsibilities include psychiatric care, including relationship building, supportive conversations, and motivational work. Medication management is one of the tasks, as well as contact with relatives and collaboration with our outpatient care and other care neighbors. As a nurse, you lead and distribute the work, and together with the others in the team, you are responsible for ensuring that patients receive good care and a good recovery.
Additional InformationAs we in Psychiatry care about our patients and value patient safety highly, we will, in connection with the recruitment, request extracts from the suspicion and criminal records from the National Police Board. More information about suspicion and criminal records can be found in SFS 1999:1135 and SFS 1999:1134.

QualificationsWe are primarily looking for specialist nurses with a focus on psychiatry, but also licensed nurses who lack specialist nursing qualifications are welcome to apply and may be relevant if they match our needs. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing, have high quality in your documentation, be responsible, have good collaboration skills, good judgment, and the ability to make independent decisions.
