Infection Control Nurse for the Infection Control Unit Region Örebro County

Your responsibilities as an infection control nurse with us will be to participate in the work to prevent and limit the spread of infectious diseases for the diseases included in the Infection Control Act. This includes epidemiological surveillance, outbreak management, preparedness, preventive work and interventions, educational initiatives, and conveying knowledge and information to various groups. Independent advice and teaching in infection control issues constitute an important part of the work.

The work involves collaboration and contacts with several other actors and authorities such as health and medical care, infection control, microbiological laboratories, schools and preschools, care and elderly care, the Public Health Agency, the County Administrative Board, municipal environmental and health protection, county veterinarians, correctional services, and voluntary organizations.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in experience/interest in infectious diseases and infection control work. Other desirable merits are pedagogical experiences, experience from investigative work, child health care, education in microbiology, public health science, as well as epidemiology and research.

You can work independently, take initiative, and drive projects, but you also have good collaboration skills and are used to working in teams. You can express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish, and also well in English. You have good computer skills and master the Office programs. Experience working with statistical programs is an advantage. As a person, you are flexible, solution-oriented with strategic thinking ability. You are good at collaborating, building, and maintaining good relationships. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability for the role.
