We work with all types of orthopedic aids and have our own production in Örebro, which creates a close and efficient collaboration between professions. Our organization is responsible for the Dysmelia and Arm Prosthesis Center, where we receive patients from all over the country and sometimes even internationally. Since September 1, we are one of four units in Sweden that provides national highly specialized care in dysmelia. We offer you:

Orthopedic technology is located in modern and well-functioning premises at Örebro University Hospital and has clinics at the county's three hospitals. We also receive patients from other parts of the country as we have one of the largest arm prosthesis teams in Sweden. Our work takes place in close contact and collaboration with other operations within Region Örebro County. Among us are orthopedic engineers, orthopedic technicians, physiotherapists, and assistants.

Physiotherapist for Orthopedic Technology
Job ResponsibilitiesTeamwork within the Dysmelia and Arm Prosthesis Center
At the Dysmelia and Arm Prosthesis Center in Örebro, we work in multidisciplinary teams to promote activity, development, and participation for both children and adults with various types of arm and/or limb dysmelia or arm amputation. As a physiotherapist with us, you will:
- Participate in team consultations together with orthopedic engineers, occupational therapists, doctors, and other professionals.
- Conduct functional and activity assessments.
- Work preventively to counteract overload issues.
- Design training programs, provide training instructions, and adapt training to individual conditions.
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic engineers and occupational therapists in the design and adaptation of arm and leg prostheses.
- Work with patients of all ages - where a large part of the patients are children.
Fitting of orthoses for the lower extremity
- Fitting and adjustment of prefabricated AFOs and knee orthoses based on the patient's needs and function.

QualificationsWe are looking for someone who:
- Is a licensed physiotherapist.
- Has good collaboration skills, is communicative, attentive, and service-oriented.
- Is flexible, responsible, and enjoys both independent and team-based work.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
