About the Role and Your Responsibilities

The position involves supervision and processing according to the Environmental Code within the area of environmental protection, with a particular focus on individual sewage systems, artificial turf, and dental practices.

Supervision of other environmentally hazardous activities within the administration and other tasks may also be relevant. The position is a temporary contract until 2026-11-30.

We Are Looking For You

You have a scientific or technical university degree in fields such as environmental science, chemistry, geoscience, or another equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. A driver's license is required for the position. Work experience as an environmental inspector is an advantage. As a person, you are service-oriented, proactive, meticulous, and structured. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, possess good collaboration skills, and enjoy working both independently and in a team.

About the Workplace

The Department of Environment and Building provides advice and services in planning and building matters, and conducts regulatory activities according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL). Through supervision and control according to, among other things, the Environmental Code, the Food Act, and the Infection Protection Act, we work for a safe environment that is not harmful to human health. We also have the municipality's transport service.

The Community Building Administration is responsible for a broad range of activities covering the entire community building process. With approximately 350 engaged and competent employees, we work with everything from urban planning, land management, and development to building permits, environmental supervision, and nature conservation. We develop and manage the public environment and contribute to sustainable urban development that includes outdoor life, water care, and nature protection. Our ambition is to improve the quality of our service to businesses and our residents with the goal of creating an attractive, vibrant, and sustainable urban environment for everyone who lives and works here.
