Sagitta Pedagog AB is looking for a structured and committed economist who wants to take over the overall responsibility for our finance function in connection with a planned change in responsibility within the finance function. You will receive a structured handover from our current economist.

Sagitta started in 1987, and today we have eight employees. We develop and sell educational materials in mathematics and science to schools in Sweden and the Nordic countries. We also have a large customer base of both companies and individuals who appreciate our range and service. Our business is characterized by knowledge, quality, and close collaboration – both internally and with our customers.

About the position

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the company's finances and work closely with management and other employees. The position combines qualified financial work with administrative tasks and a business-oriented approach. The role is suitable for you who thrive in a broad function within a smaller organization.

Responsibilities – finance

You will be responsible for the company's ongoing financial work, including:

• Payroll management
• Accounts receivable and payable
• Ongoing accounting
• Tax declarations and regulatory reporting
• Monthly and annual financial statements
• Contact with auditors, banks, and other external parties

Responsibilities – administration

In addition to financial work, administrative tasks are included, such as:

• Purchasing and supplier contacts
• Participation in tender work
• Preparation and updating of price lists
• Database maintenance
• Statistics, follow-up, and compilations

Operational support

As in many smaller organizations, you are expected to also work operationally with order management, including packing orders, to ensure deliveries to customers, especially during peak seasons.

Qualifications and requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant education in finance or equivalent work experience
• Has good knowledge of accounting and financial administration
• Is meticulous, structured, and responsible
• Enjoys independent work in a smaller organization
• Has good system skills and works fluently in Excel as well as business and financial systems. We work in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Interest and understanding of mathematics, technology, and natural sciences
• Experience or interest in the education sector
• Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English

Employment form and conditions

• Full-time, 38.5 hours/week, monthly salary
• Probationary period of 6 months, then permanent employment
• The workplace is located in Mariestad, and we expect you to work on-site five days a week
