Solna City is one of Sweden's most rapidly developing and dynamic municipalities, with business activities that are city-wide and involve all city administrations.

The strategic and operational business work is led by the Department of Labor Market and Business, which is part of the Administration for Labor Market, Culture, and Leisure.

What Does the Role Involve?

As a Business Strategist, you will report to the head of the Department of Labor Market and Business, supporting the head in both strategic and operational work. Your tasks will involve a wide range of responsibilities. You will have the overall responsibility for coordinating and supporting business activities, both internally within the city and externally in contact with companies, organizations, associations, and authorities.

You will collaborate with the local business community, create conditions for development and growth, and actively participate in efforts to enhance the business climate in the city. As a Business Strategist, you will participate in various networks, including Stockholm County's network for business development, led by Stockholm City, and the Stockholm Northeastern business network together with the municipalities of Norrort, as well as the region's network for business issues.

You will be responsible for leading processes, supporting the operation and development of the business, and driving business activities together with other departments and divisions in the city. In this role, it is essential that you are well-versed in the conditions, challenges, and needs of the business community and can communicate freely with politicians, officials from various departments at different levels, external parties, and Solna's businesses.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinating and participating in company visits.
• Being a speaker in the city's internal business council led by the city director.
• Planning and coordinating important meeting places and collaboration meetings internally and externally.
• Leading the city's internal business organization together with departments and divisions.
• Leading, driving, and participating in various types of projects, networks, and meeting places.
• Quality monitoring, environmental scanning, and societal analysis.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant university degree or another education deemed suitable for the position.
• Several years of experience in business development.
• Experience in project and process management.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.

It is considered a merit if you have:

• Experience in a strategic or leadership role.
• Experience working with digital communication and social media.
