For the academic year 26/27, we are looking for a craft, art, and home economics teacher for our small school, preferably with qualifications in all subjects: textile, wood, and metal crafts, as well as art and home economics. The teaching primarily concerns grades 4-9, but lower grades may also be relevant.

Currently, we lack craft and art classrooms, which requires a bit of extra creative thinking regarding the work given the limited conditions. Our previous teachers have acquired a lot of materials, tools, machines, and other resources that still enable crafting in the classroom.

Home economics is conducted in a teaching kitchen.

If you also have qualifications in other subjects, please include them in your application. Perhaps you have a subject combination that complements our staffing for the next academic year.

Part-time or full-time depends on subject/subject combinations.

We:

-are a small independent preschool, primary school, and after-school program with a total of about 150 children/students in the building.

-have about 110 students distributed across grades K-9.

-are bilingual. Our operations are characterized by both Swedish and Finnish languages.

-are centrally located in Tumba, close to commuter trains and buses.

You:

-enjoy working with students of different ages, with varying conditions and abilities.

-structure your work based on given frameworks, contexts, needs, and goals. And are prepared for plans to need to change.

-assume that your work encompasses both the students' knowledge development and their social learning environment.

-take your own initiatives when appropriate and needed.

-view collaboration with your colleagues as a given, preferably with a perspective of organizational development.

-see all parts of the school (operations, students, and staff) as a whole. Where you are an important piece of the puzzle together with us.

-should preferably be able to speak both Swedish and Finnish.
