Children's and Women's Center is a county-wide production unit within Region Östergötland.

Pediatric care is provided at two clinics, one at the Children's and Youth Medicine Clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping and the other at H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital at Linköping University Hospital. The Linköping facility also includes an outpatient clinic at the Hospital in Motala.

Job Description

At H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital, children and adolescents aged 0–18 are cared for due to both medical and surgical diseases. We provide county healthcare and highly specialized regional and national healthcare within inpatient as well as outpatient care. Our operations are located at Linköping University Hospital (inpatient, outpatient) and the Hospital in Motala (outpatient). Many different professional groups work together with the goal of providing children and adolescents with the best possible care and support. You will work in an environment characterized by joy, responsibility, and respect, where family-centered care is at the core.

In Linköping, there is one of Sweden's six Neonatal ICUs that cares for children from week 22 and provides advanced intensive care. Connected to the operations are family care, home healthcare, follow-up clinics, and a transport organization under development. We have a good research environment with several engaged doctors and nurses in the department, and there are good opportunities to pursue a doctoral education or conduct your own research after disputation in combination with clinical work. Child- and family-centered development-supportive care is important in our work, and we are a NIDCAP-certified department.

The collaboration between the different units at H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital is well-developed, and the department also has the competence to care for children with diabetes and neurosurgical conditions. Additionally, there are sometimes children in the department with other medical and nursing needs.

About You

We are looking for a specialist in pediatrics. As you will be working in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have excellent knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

We are also looking for someone who shares our commitment to the best health of children and adolescents throughout life. The success of the Children's and Youth Hospital is teamwork, and therefore it is important that you collaborate well with others. You are meticulous and take initiative, and you are eager to provide children and families with a good experience of care.
