Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. JOB DESCRIPTION

Kriminalvården provides certain open health and medical care, which means that inmates can seek care at our medical clinics.

As a nurse, you will assess minor ailments, as well as determine which applicants should see a doctor or another professional. This means you will work with both somatic and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist during medical consultations, and administer medications (primarily through dose dispensing). Documentation is currently done in the PMO patient data journal.

At the medical clinic, there are scheduled appointments with psychologists, general practitioners, psychiatrists, and physiotherapists.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A professional license as a nurse.
• Work experience as a nurse.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Relevant language skills in other languages, such as English.
• A relevant professional focus or further education in areas such as primary care or psychiatry.

As a person, you need to be secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have a high level of integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You are quality-conscious and meticulous and have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward.
