Our Offer

The Orthopedic Clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping is part of CKOC, the Center for Surgery, Orthopedics, and Cancer Care within Region Östergötland. The Orthopedic Clinic consists of a ward with 28 beds, an outpatient clinic, and a rehabilitation unit. The ward has both an acute and an elective flow, and patients from 18 years old are cared for here. We prioritize the patient, patient safety, and the work environment. Improvement work is part of our daily routine. We have a well-staffed operation with a structured and well-liked scheduling model that promotes recovery during rotation shifts. Our focus is a good work environment for every employee, and we are happy to share our innovative solutions in an interview.

You have great opportunities to influence how you want to work. Either day/evening or permanent night or a mix. We work four weekend shifts freely distributed over five weeks. If you choose to work nights, we have a unique model where you work 89% as a full-time employee, 14 nights over five weeks, and 20 hours for professional development over five weeks. Weekend work is available as an option. The introduction is tailored to experience and also includes job shadowing with care neighbors, e.g., surgery, emergency, and outpatient care over time.

Job Description

As a nurse, your tasks will involve pre- and post-operative care in the clinic's ward. Optimization, mobilization, and general nursing care are focus areas. Patient admissions occur around the clock and in collaboration with the orthopedic on-call.

Team

We have increased staffing at night, working with 2-3 nurses and three or four nursing assistants depending on occupancy. The care coordinator and social coordinator manage our flows.

About You

You are a qualified nurse. Experience in orthopedics is an advantage, but not a requirement. Since you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.

You have good collaboration skills, are calm, stable, and patient-focused. You see opportunities in change and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are service-oriented and contribute to a good working atmosphere.
