Your Responsibilities

As a school psychologist, you are part of the student health team and contribute your psychological expertise to the promotional, preventive, and remedial work. Your starting point is the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the student's right to education. This permeates your work as you support students in achieving their goals in school. You provide psychological expertise as support in the pedagogical work and in the overall planning of the student health's work. As a school psychologist, you contribute psychological knowledge about protective and risk factors for students' health, learning, and development. You provide guidance and consultation to the school's other staff. As a school psychologist, you conduct supportive conversations with students and support guardians. At the principal's request, you conduct psychological assessments of students, groups, and organizations to contribute psychological knowledge about students' conditions for learning and support needs.

As a school psychologist, you are offered the opportunity to participate in networks with the possibility of continuous collaboration and experience exchange led by PLA (Psychological Management Responsibility). Regular supervision regarding your role as a school psychologist in educational activities is provided.

Your Workplace

Arenaskolan is a sports school located at Bilbörsen Arena. The school has profiles in football, hockey, figure skating, swimming, dance, and multi-sport orientation. Currently, about 550 students in grades 7-9 attend Arenaskolan.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with an approved psychology degree who wants to complete their final internship as a PTP psychologist. It is advantageous if you have previous experience from an internship (VFU) as a psychologist in schools and if you have experience conducting assessments. You have good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish as you will be handling various testing tools in Swedish and writing journals and reports. Furthermore, you are secure, stable, and see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguishing between the personal and the professional. You take responsibility for your tasks, drive your processes forward, and have the courage to act according to your own convictions. We see that you work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner, and that you are outgoing in professional contexts and create contacts and maintain relationships. As the vacancy is a temporary position, it is subject to general fixed-term employment.
