Social Services

The Social Services are responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act and are to implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are permeated by the individual at the center to meet the individual's needs. The mission involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

Unit Home Care Old Town

The Home Care Unit Old Town has nearly 30 employees. We work in several different types of areas, both more inside the high-rise buildings in the Old Town and in the residential neighborhoods around and on Mossen. We cycle and walk to our clients.

The working hours are scheduled for weekdays, evenings, and weekends, including major holidays.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a nursing assistant in Motala municipality, you will provide our clients with good care and support based on their individual needs and wishes. You will respectfully guide, support, and motivate the client to manage their daily routines in the best way according to their own abilities.

We offer a varied job with a focus on daily care interventions. You will perform tasks related to personal care, support during meals, social interaction, escorting, service interventions, etc. You will also perform health and medical tasks by delegation and document in our journal systems.

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will be a designated care contact, which means you actively work to create safe and trust-based relationships. The job requires a high level of commitment and that you actively participate in developing and improving the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competencies:

• You must have completed a care and nursing education and have a completed degree.
• Familiarity with using a computer as a support in your work and easily adapting to new digital tools.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish as the work involves documentation and much dialogue with colleagues and clients.
• It is advantageous if you have previous experience in care and nursing-related tasks.
• You can cycle.

Personal Competencies:

You have a high work ethic and are genuinely interested in working with people.

You are responsible and have the resources required for change or problem-solving. You do your best by doing what you can right now and quickly find solutions to emerging problems. You can work independently and take your own initiatives.

You work well with other people. Relate to them in a responsive and smooth way. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.
