The Child and Women's Center is a regional production unit within Region Östergötland.

Pediatric care takes place within two clinics, one at the pediatric and adolescent medicine clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping and the other at H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's Hospital at Linköping University Hospital. The Linköping facility also includes an outpatient clinic at the Hospital in Motala.

Job Description

At H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's Hospital, children and adolescents aged 0-18 are treated for both medical and surgical diseases. We provide regional care and highly specialized regional and national care within inpatient as well as outpatient services. Our operations are located at Linköping University Hospital (inpatient, outpatient) and the Hospital in Motala (outpatient). Many different professional groups work together with the goal of providing children and adolescents with the best possible care and attention. You will work in an environment characterized by joy, responsibility, and respect, where family-centered care is at the core.

In Linköping, there is one of Sweden's six children's cancer centers. Children with oncological and hematological diseases from the entire Southeast healthcare region are treated with us. The pediatric oncology unit consists of a ward, outpatient clinic, and day care. Children also have access to hospital-connected home care. The clinic is a university hospital unit, and research is conducted throughout the pediatric oncology operation. There are good opportunities to pursue a doctoral education or conduct your own research after disputation in combination with clinical work.

The collaboration between the different units at H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's Hospital is well-developed, and the department also has the competence to care for children with diabetes and neurosurgical conditions. Additionally, there are sometimes children in the department with other medical and nursing needs.

About You

We are looking for you who are a pediatric hematologist/oncologist or a specialist in pediatrics with an interest in becoming a pediatric hematologist/oncologist. Since you will be working in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

We are also looking for you who share our commitment to the best health of children and adolescents throughout life. The success of the children's and youth hospital is teamwork, and therefore it is important that you collaborate well with others. You are meticulous and take your own initiatives, and you are eager to provide children and families with a good experience of care. You are positive and have a professional approach in your work where family-centered care is the focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
