Operating Room Nurses Wanted for Highly Specialized Operations
Do you want to work in a highly specialized operating room environment where teamwork, responsibility, and patient focus are at the core? We are currently recruiting an entire surgical team and are looking for operating room nurses who want to contribute their skills in a safe and professional 24/7 operation.
We are responsible for surgical care around the clock, and the operation requires high competence, collaboration skills, and a strong desire to help patients. We are building for the future, and to do that, we need you to be part of our operation and enjoy taking responsibility and getting the job done professionally. We are now recruiting nursing assistants, anesthesiology nurses, and operating room nurses who want to thrive with us.

Everyone who starts with us gets their own mentor and an individualized introduction program, regardless of previous experience. This is to ensure that you can safely learn the necessary parts to work around the clock with us.
During your introduction, you will also attend two theme days, an introduction day and an on-call day, together with new employees in other categories. We are part of a health-promoting project, which means a 34-hour workweek with full-time pay when you are part of the 24/7 operation.
We use a region-wide career ladder for specialist nurses that clarifies development and opportunities in the profession, what is required at each level, and how you can further grow through research, for example.

Job Description
Here, over 100 employees work in teams around the patient, with both planned and emergency surgeries around the clock.
You will be an important part of maintaining our high quality and availability in an operation where collaboration, competence, and commitment are at the center. We do not have explicit section work but want everyone to have broad competence and readiness to handle on-call work. You will take care of both emergency operations and planned surgeries.
As an operating room nurse, you are responsible for the patient's care and safety before, during, and after surgical procedures. You prepare the operating room by checking medical equipment, setting up sterile instruments, and ensuring that all necessary materials are available.
During the operation, you work closely with the surgeon and assist with the right instruments at the right time while being responsible for hygiene and asepsis in the operating room. You instrument, ensure that the patient is in the correct position, and check that all instruments, compresses, and materials are counted before, during, and after the procedure to guarantee patient safety.
Our operational development largely relies on employees contributing solutions, engagement, and time for responsibility work distributed proportionally according to what the operation prioritizes.
Since we receive students from various educational programs, there is a responsibility for supervision at different levels.
Work Group
Every day you work with the patient alongside anesthesiology nurses, nursing assistants, specialist nursing assistants, anesthesiologists, and surgeons.
The work group is stable, and there is a wealth of experience across all professional categories. We expect everyone to be willing to contribute to making their colleagues better and therefore have high demands on interaction, communication, feedback, and teamwork.
Our systematic work environment efforts are based on health factors (Link), and we strive for present, engaged leadership, good communication, and high participation.
We are currently in an exciting period where we are getting new, fresh facilities. The renovation is taking place alongside our ongoing operations, which will affect our daily work in various ways until everything is completed in 2030.
Please feel free to contact our union representative from the Nursing Association if you want to know more about how we are doing at the workplace.
About You
You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in surgical nursing.
We prefer that you have previous experience as an operating room nurse, preferably from highly specialized care. Previous experience in emergency care and 24/7 work is an advantage. If you have training in interaction, communication, or teamwork, we see it as a plus.
Good Swedish language skills are required in both speech and writing, as you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, as well as document in records.
You work in a cross-professional team alongside surgeons, anesthesiology nurses, and nursing assistants in a high-tech environment with varied tasks. The work requires a good ability to handle unforeseen situations, prevent complications, and document care work.
We are looking for someone who sees the big picture, takes responsibility for what you do, and acts based on what is best for the operation. You are good at planning and prioritizing, make quick and thoughtful decisions, and get things done. You work well with others, communicate openly and attentively, and resolve any conflicts in a fair and constructive manner. Therefore, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Even when there is a lot going on, you remain calm, focus on the right things, and adapt to the situation to contribute to a safe and stable care environment.
