About the Position

OpenArt is Örebro's recurring outdoor art exhibition in the heart of the city. A lot of marketing materials need to be produced ahead of the exhibition, and we are therefore strengthening our team.

As an assistant marketing coordinator, you will be part of the Art Unit's team and will support our existing marketing coordinator who will delegate tasks to you. This will involve marketing OpenArt as well as the Örebro Art Hall and public art. You will perform a wide variety of tasks such as producing printed and digital informational materials in text, image, video, and graphic form for flyers, posters, signs, brochures, catalogs, advertisements, as well as publishing on the website, digital screens, and social media. You will do this based on our graphic profile and tone related to the target audience. The position includes hosting where you meet visitors and introduce them to the current exhibition, which may involve some evening and weekend work.

Examples of Tasks:

• design and publish materials on the web, app, and social media
• produce and edit text materials in the form of exhibition information, artwork texts, artist presentations, educational texts, etc.
• apply graphic design
• edit and produce image and video materials
• work and document in the existing operational systems

About the Workplace

The Art Unit has overall responsibility for Örebro Municipality's art assignments by exhibiting contemporary art at the Örebro Art Hall, showcasing contemporary art in public spaces every other year through the OpenArt biennial, and managing the municipal art collection. We also project manage new artistic expressions throughout the municipality through the one percent rule. The Art Unit operates within the area of Nature and Cultural Life on behalf of the Culture and Leisure Administration. As an assistant marketing coordinator, you will work from the Örebro Art Hall in the Cultural Quarter.

Qualifications

As an assistant marketing coordinator, you are self-driven, creative, and a team player. On behalf of our marketing coordinator, you feel confident in independently producing materials and possess good communication skills. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions.

Requirements:

• high school education with a focus on aesthetics and media, or higher education in communication or a related field
• experience in text editing
• good knowledge of Adobe Suite with a focus on InDesign and Photoshop
• good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• ongoing or completed higher education with a focus on communication or related fields
• good knowledge of web publishing
• good knowledge of audio and video editing
• experience in marketing via social media/META advertising
• experience in producing graphic design and materials
• B driver's license with manual transmission
• good knowledge of the art field
• experience in communication work related to the art sector

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: project employment

Employment rate: 60%

Start date: April 1 to September 30

Number of positions: 1
