Your Mission

Your mission includes writing medical records, booking follow-up appointments, handling referrals, and other administrative healthcare tasks, such as working with orthopedic-specific quality registers. The position also involves rotation in our reception, currently every third week. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday with weekend shifts every 18th weekend, during which you will write dictations for orthopedic and surgical departments as well as ICU.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary or studying in their final year and graduating this summer. Since teamwork and collaboration are important building blocks for thriving with us, it is crucial that you are confident in yourself and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and together with us, you create a good atmosphere where we all share responsibility for a good working environment. We are looking for someone who is open, engaged, responsible, flexible, and service-oriented, and sees both small and large changes as a natural part of the job. You have a good ability to build strong relationships and thrive in close collaboration with colleagues from different professional groups. You enjoy a sometimes fast-paced work environment where you help each other out. You need to have good knowledge of medical terminology, diagnosis classification, and working in our medical record system, Cosmic. The job requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as good IT skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. This position will be filled on an ongoing basis and may be appointed before the application deadline.

Your Future Workplace

The Orthopedic Clinic in Västervik offers a nearly complete range of acute and elective orthopedic healthcare with a regional responsibility for shoulder surgery. We consist of a care department and an outpatient clinic. Approximately 60 employees work at the clinic, including doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, plaster technicians, and medical secretaries. We have a well-functioning collaboration with surgical planning, the radiology clinic, and rehabilitation.
