Air Base Battalion Seeks Conscription Officer

Are you interested in administration, have good organizational skills, and are service-oriented? Then you could be our new conscription officer.

The Base Battalion is responsible for the operation of the F 21 air bases and has a primary responsibility for the training of approximately 250 conscripts. The Base Battalion consists of battalion leadership, battalion staff, and functional companies within security units, ground defense, logistics/command, and R3. In the Battalion Staff, you will belong to S1.

Main Responsibilities

You will primarily work with the administration of personnel matters in connection with military basic training. Your daily tasks will involve collaborating with managers in the organization, liaising with other units within the Armed Forces, and other authorities such as the National Board of Recruitment and Assessment. You will work in our internal support systems PRIO, VIDAR, and ATLAS.

• Needs assessment of conscripts
• Ensure that the unit upholds the rights and obligations of the conscripts.
• Support managers in legal matters according to the Total Defense Duty Act and be an expert in total defense issues, which may include handling questions for conscripts regarding appeals and dismissals, ensuring lawful handling during nominations, dismissals, and collegium, and supporting documentation for review boards.
• Handle cases arising during exercises.
• If necessary, support managers in investigating incidents involving any form of unwelcome behavior such as harassment and discrimination.
• War placement of conscript personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed upper secondary education
• Driving license B
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish
• Experience from similar tasks or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of administrative law, the Total Defense Duty Act, and the legal provisions surrounding regulations on unwelcome behavior.
• Completed conscription officer training.
• Knowledge and experience from the Armed Forces.
• Experience working with the Armed Forces' support systems such as PRIO, VIDAR, and ATLAS.
• Investigation experience.
