JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role within the Bokstart project, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on activities that promote language development in young children, with a particular focus on the target group of 0-3 years and their guardians.

You will coordinate and further develop the collaboration between libraries, child health care, and preschools. Additionally, you will actively work to spread knowledge and information about the project.

You will become part of the library's staff team, which means you will also participate in the library's regular activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The work includes service shifts at the loan and information desk and media management. At the loan and information desk, you are the library's face to the public, meeting and assisting library visitors with their inquiries. You will help with loans, returns, and book displays. You will guide visitors in the library's digital services and the technology available to us. Other tasks at the library may also arise. It is a mobile job, and heavy lifting is common.

You will also be involved in receiving child groups, visiting preschools, and participating in other activities aimed at both children and adults.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for the position, such as accuracy, a sense of service, and the ability to work independently.

We would like you to have:

• High school diploma
• Good computer skills
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you speak other languages.

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Library work
• The library system Koha
• Pedagogy
