The Orthopedic Department (VO) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) provides acute and elective orthopedic care with both district and regional responsibility. The overarching goal of the department is to conduct orthopedic care of the highest international class through research, development, and teaching at an international level, as well as through internal quality assurance and participation in national registers.

VO orthopedics operates in Malmö, Lund, and Trelleborg.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physician with us, you will work clinically within the foot section's operations and also contribute to clinical research within the area. The role includes participation in on-call duties.

VO orthopedics operates in several units, which means that travel may be required as part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

The position requires a Swedish medical license as well as:

• specialist competence in orthopedics
• clinical service in foot orthopedics beyond the obtained specialist competence
• documented teaching and/or mentoring qualifications
• language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application the pedagogical courses you have completed or plan to complete, as well as your experience in supervision and teaching at various levels.
