THE SOCIAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION

The Social Services Administration is responsible for services to the elderly, sick, and disabled. A large part of the care services in the municipality is performed by private companies according to LOU or LOV, and is regulated by agreements. The services operated by the municipality are gathered in one department.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an occupational therapist in social psychiatry, you will work with individuals who, due to mental disabilities, have difficulties with their daily activities at home. It involves working together with the client to find strategies that utilize the client's resources, adapting and changing activities, and assessing the need for cognitive aids as compensatory measures to facilitate their situation. You will often meet the client in their home, which makes it easier to get a clear picture of the client's life situation.

The role has a clear focus on assessment, structure, and methodological support. The occupational therapist works consultatively and in close collaboration with housing support that implements the work in daily life. The assignment includes guiding housing support in occupational therapy methods and approaches, focusing on structure, activity ability, and cognitive support. The occupational therapist also collaborates with colleagues at our meeting place for individuals with mental health issues, where they participate in various group activities.

When citizens apply for housing support, the occupational therapist is involved from the beginning in discussions with the applicant and thus collaborates with the assistance officers. The occupational therapist collaborates with both internal and external actors.

We are in a transition process based on the new social services law, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a structured and sustainable working method in line with the new law.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with a passionate interest in our clients. You are confident in your professional role, responsible, and have a strong commitment to our clients and their various needs. You need to have theoretical and practical experience with functional variations. You have the ability to guide and motivate clients based on their different needs. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. Since the job also involves a lot of independent work, you need to be able to work independently and be flexible based on different situations, both in pace and working methods, and be service-oriented.
